Grungy Gentleman FW20 defines athletic tailoring by combining luxury fabrications with sportswear silhouettes. Designer Jace Lipstein continues to experiment with color as accents on his clothing while always staying true to Grungy Gentleman brands masculinity. That is evident throughout his 28-look collection featuring hints of leopard, southwest inspired wool and a custom created static fabric. New Orleans Saints star Marcus Williams opened Grungy Gentleman's 12th runway show at M1-5 Lounge in Tribeca. The show also highlighted four complete Pendleton collaborative looks. “My main goals are to instill confidence and simplify the getting dressed process. Our customers have busy lives. Their personal and business life are active, and they consume media quickly. That is why I design in sets with matching tops + bottoms. It is purposely done so men can easily throw on an outfit with no thought process, yet they are certain they will look fresh." - Jace Lipstein

If Ya Don't Got Fit, Ya Don't Got Shit | Suitsupply

I always use the saying, if ya don’t got fit, ya don’t got shit. As a designer myself, fit is everything. Not only is it the holy grail, it is the entire grail. A garment can be comfortable and/or stylish but if it does not fit perfectly, in my opinion it is useless.

Grungy Gentleman clothing leans towards luxury streetwear and I was in need of suiting and clothing for power meetings. So the hunt was on. My goal was to find versatile pieces that I could wear inside and outside the office. But the most essential factor was that the fit had to be impeccable. If the fit wasn’t literally perfect, I would not be interested.

I walked into Suitsupply’s SoHo NYC Shop, which instantly oozes masculinity from the consistent fragrance that is radiant throughout all levels of the 6 floors to the footwear, weekender bags and of course clothes that greet you at every turn. I was happy to find out within minutes of my shopping experience that the staff is extremely knowledgable + willing to help and they offered top notch alterations services in-store. If that isn’t enough help, the store mannequins are dressed how every man should aspire to look… clean, confident and elegant.

The options are endless at Suitsupply because they focus on staples so you can get multiple uses out of every garment. Cashmere sweaters and trousers were the first thing that caught my attention. I picked out a bunch of options to try on before I moved onto suiting. I really wanted to focus my shopping hunt on soft shoulder suiting because that style of shoulder fits me best. Suitsupply had so many options and that is what shocked me. I was in menswear heaven lol. I then started imagining wearing the suiting as intended and also as separates. I could not wait to get to the fitting room. The product fit sensational and anything that needed to be tweaked with alterations was instantly taken care of by the helpful staff. The staff was set on making sure everything fit me perfectly which as a consumer gave me a ton of confidence. I care so it would be awesome if they care too…and they did! I left feeling on top of the world, knowing I have endless options with rocking my new Suitsupply fits and was more than prepared for any meeting that is thrown in my direction.

So what happens when you leave a store with an excellent experience and everything fits impeccable? You come back again. And sure enough, I came back twice to get more product. It was impossible not to think about the store’s mannequins and how perfectly polished they looked. There were boots and denim on a mannequin that were calling my name. Suitsupply is a store you will keep coming back for more because of the quality and knowledgable staff. But what sets them apart is the fit and the incredible in-store alterations services that they offer. Because it’s like I always say, if ya don’t got fit, ya don’t got shit.
