Grungy Gentleman: What made you decide to launch Rumba Time?
Joe Anto: WE WANTED TO LAUNCH A FUN, INEXPENSIVE WATCH LINE WHICH APPEALED TO A PRETTY WIDE RANGE OF DEMOGRAPHICS; OUR WATCHES ARE WORN BY MEN AND WOMEN OF ALL AGES, AS WELL AS KIDS.
GG: Where did the concept come from?
JA: WE WERE INSPIRED BY DESIGNS WE SAW IN ITALY AND ASIA, BUT HADN'T SEEN HERE IN THE U.S.
GG: What makes Rumba Time unique from other watch companies?
JA: I THINK WE ARE ONE OF THE ONLY WATCH COMPANIES FOCUSED ON MAKING RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE WATCHES THAT ARE MADE FROM SILICONE.
GG: What is your favorite watch from your line and why?
JA: I AM A BIG FAN OF THE DENIM ORIGINAL...IT'S A GREAT COLOR AND GOES WITH ANYTHING!
GG: How pleased are you with the recent press Rumba Time has received? Is there any specific press that you feel most proud of?
JA: VERY HAPPY ABOUT ALL THE POSITIVE PRESS...EXTREMELY PLEASED ABOUT BEING INCLUDED IN THE PEOPLE MAGAZINE MOTHERS DAY GUIDE. AND NOT TO MENTION SNOOP DOGG AT THE 2010 MTV MOVIE AWARDS.

GG: How did you choose what stores would carry your product? What demographic did you target?
JA: WE LOOK FOR STORES THAT CATER TO A YOUNGER DEMOGRAPHIC. TEENAGERS AND 20 SOMETHINGS LIKE OUR STYLE. IN REALITY, ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE ARE WEARING OUR WATCHES AND A LOT OF ATHLETIC STORES HAVE EXPRESSED INTEREST, GIVEN HOW GREAT THE WATCHES ARE FOR WORKING OUT!
GG: What advice do you have for others who want to start their own line?
JA: BUILDING THE BRAND AND DISTRIBUTION SHOULD BE THE NUMBER 1 GOAL, EVERYTHING ELSE IS A DISTANT SECOND.
GG: How do you rock your Rumba Time watches?
JA: I WEAR THE DENIM ORIGINAL AND SOMETIMES THE GREY VANDAM (OUR NEW COLLECTION).
GG: What can we except next from Rumba Time?
JA: WE CURRENTLY HAVE 3 LINES, BY THE END OF THE YEAR WE HOPE TO HAVE 7 OR 8...SO WE ARE BUSY DEVELOPING NEW PRODUCTS FOR OUR CUSTOMERS.
